This is my most successful image because it displays the setting sun as back lighting. The back lighting creates a glowing effect around the outline of the leaves of the tree. Additionally, the back lighting from the sun also brings forth the details on some of the leaves as well. I think the contrast between the darker shadows of the leaves that are not in the sun with the lighter leaves are also an interesting look. The most challenging part of this assignment was deciding what time of day would be best to get the different kinds of lighting. In the future, I might go out during different times of the day to get pictures of the same objects to see how the lighting varies.Â

However, some parts of the leaves are slightly shadowed, making it difficult to see all the details. If the light in the foreground had been stronger, it might have enhanced the texture and shape of the leaves.
