Laura Letinksy's (top row) work incorporates used materials such as food waste and recycled materials. She often uses spacious backgrounds with a lot of white space and natural lighting. Her images are usually still life images that have been manipulated to tell a story in her work. I was drawn to her use of bright light and colorful materials and tried to incorporate those elements into my own work.

Course Goals and Achievements:

One goal I had coming into this class was to experiment with a new creative outlet. I think I achieved this goal through the numerous assignments we had throughout the semester. Especially with this assignment, I was able to experiment with a new style of photography that I did not know a lot about before. Another goal I had was to learn more photography techniques and terms related to those techniques. In our class, we discussed different ways lighting, angles, and composition affect a photograph. I think I was successful in becoming more familiar with this terminology. Overall, I feel like I have gained a greater knowledge of photography and the elements of photography.
